O Instituto Nacional de Tecnologia (INT) atua em duas importantes vertentes para contribuir para essa meta global.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u267b&nbsp;Por meio de pesquisa, no Laborat\u00f3rio de Tecnologia de Materiais Polim\u00e9ricos (LAMAP) s\u00e3o desenvolvidos materiais comp\u00f3sitos, que adicionam res\u00edduos agroindustriais ou cargas inorg\u00e2nicas aos pl\u00e1sticos convencionais ou biodegrad\u00e1veis. Esses materiais podem apresentar desempenho mec\u00e2nico adequado a diversas fun\u00e7\u00f5es, para uso em produtos como pisos, revestimentos, tijolos, mobili\u00e1rio, embalagens, agricultura e manufatura aditiva (impress\u00e3o 3D), e representam uma alternativa mais sustent\u00e1vel, atendendo aos conceitos de economia circular e os 17 objetivos do desenvolvimento sustent\u00e1vel, propostos pela ONU com a agenda 2030. A equipe do laborat\u00f3rio ainda testa materiais em condi\u00e7\u00f5es simuladas do solo e do ambiente marinho, de modo a aprimorar as caracter\u00edsticas esperadas para reduzir o impacto da polui\u00e7\u00e3o pl\u00e1stica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u267b Na gest\u00e3o do pr\u00f3prio res\u00edduo, por meio da Comiss\u00e3o de Sustentabilidade, o INT tem atuado para reduzir ao m\u00e1ximo o consumo interno de pl\u00e1sticos descart\u00e1veis e para promover a coleta seletiva desses materiais. A substitui\u00e7\u00e3o de produtos como copos pl\u00e1sticos descart\u00e1veis por canecas e copos individuais foi uma das a\u00e7\u00f5es adotadas em todo o Instituto e o res\u00edduo pl\u00e1stico de embalagens hoje \u00e9 absorvido pela coleta empreendida por cooperativas de catadores.
