Segundo o chanceler F\u00e9lix Plasencia, a medida foi tomada porque o tribunal teria atuado com um &#8220;vi\u00e9s&#8221; que concentra investiga\u00e7\u00f5es de forma desproporcional em pa\u00edses africanos e latino-americanos. Em comunicado divulgado na rede social X, Plasencia afirmou que a decis\u00e3o foi determinada pela presidente interina Delcy Rodr\u00edguez e j\u00e1 foi oficialmente comunicada ao secret\u00e1rio-geral da Organiza\u00e7\u00e3o das Na\u00e7\u00f5es Unidas (ONU), Ant\u00f3nio Guterres.
