A unidade que nasceu como s\u00edmbolo da produ\u00e7\u00e3o nacional de carros de luxo deixou de fabricar modelos como Discovery Sport e Range Rover Evoque, enquanto 371 trabalhadores diretos aguardam uma resposta sobre o pr\u00f3prio futuro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">O n\u00famero mais forte est\u00e1 nas vendas. Entre janeiro e maio de 2026, os dois modelos somaram apenas 264 emplacamentos no Brasil. Segundo a pr\u00f3pria Land Rover Brasil, o projeto recebeu investimento de R$ 750 milh\u00f5es e come\u00e7ou com a miss\u00e3o de produzir nacionalmente o Discovery Sport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Na \u00e9poca, a chegada da unidade foi tratada como um passo importante para o setor automotivo brasileiro. A expectativa inicial era de capacidade para 24 mil ve\u00edculos por ano e cerca de 400 empregos diretos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mas a realidade do mercado premium cobrou seu pre\u00e7o. Segundo a Quatro Rodas, a unidade funcionava no regime SKD, sistema em que partes do carro chegam do exterior praticamente prontas e a montagem final acontece no pa\u00eds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Na pr\u00e1tica, isso mantinha a f\u00e1brica muito dependente de componentes importados e com menor nacionaliza\u00e7\u00e3o.
